She missed them now,
Those young men gone off
To be, to learn, in a world
She could not share,
Could only visit now and then.
Being boys, they didn’t call often,
To share the passing weeks.
She left their home bedrooms
Just the way they always were,
Waiting for them, when holidays
And summer breaks finally came.
